Use SEO to Enhance Your Marketing

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) sounds very technical and complicated to some people. But it is not really that difficult to understand.
More importantly, it’s critical to have at least a basic knowledge of SEO when you’re marketing on the Internet. Truth is, you can’t know too much about SEO when it comes to Internet marketing.
Essentially, SEO is focused on making the content (articles, blog posts, video, etc) you create “liked by” or “optimized for” search engines like Google.
One of the primary ways to optimize your content for search engines is by understanding how to use keywords in your content to “attract” the attention of the search engines.
Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to SEO’ing your content:
1. Know your target market
Your target market is that group of people who you want to locate and read your article because they’ll find the information useful and valuable.
2. Identify the keywords your target market is searching for
Use Google AdWords to identify what are the most popular search terms for your target market.
3. Use those keywords in your content
For articles or blog posts, use those keywords in the title, body, keyword section of your content.
You don’t want to overuse, or spam, the keyword because search engines will penalize you for doing that. One good rule of thumb is to use one keyword for every 100 words of copy.

Twitter Marketing

The micro-blogging service, Twitter, is experiencing explosive growth. Finding out how to use Twitter as a marketing tool can be a huge benefit to your business.
But Twitter has it’s pitfalls. It’s very addictive and it’s very easy to spend alot of time tweeting unproductively.
That said, once you understand Twitter and see how it can fit into your overall marketing strategy, it can be a big asset. There’s no more immediate a medium than Twitter. You can definitely build meaningful business relationships (I have). And you can generate lots of leads for your business (I have).
The key to being effective is educating yourself on Twitter culture and on effective methods of promoting yourself.

Content and Article Marketing

Writing articles is a powerful and efficient way to market yourself. First, it is free. Second, you can do it whether you have your own website or not. Third, it is part of the explosive growth of social media or Web 2.0, which is becoming increasingly popular way for marketers to reach potential prospects.
The major benefit of using articles in your marketing strategy is that you’ll be posting your articles on sites that Google and other search engines love.
So, one of the keys to effective content or article marketing is understanding how to use keywords in the content that you create.

Content Communities
Content communities are websites that allow you to post content — articles, photos, video — for anyone on the Internet to find and read. They also enable you to interact with other members of the community so you can also socialize with members with the same interests as well as find leads for your business. In short, whether you have your own blog or content site, you can shamelessly promote your business and yourself.

Article Marketing
Article marketing is similar to using content communities with some key differences. Basically, with articles, you’re not able to use photos or video, just words on a page. And, you’re posting articles to article directories that are usually indexed by search engines so your articles can be found by Google and other search engines.
